We start our tour at the top of the historic Signal Hill, wind our way down into Camps Bay, past the 12 Apostles and up and over into the fishing village of Hout Bay. Here we enjoy a stroll around the harbor and market while enjoying a deserved coffee break. Next we tackle the first bucket list item on our bikes – the world famous Chapmans Peak. After taking in draw dropping views at every turn, we freewheel into a scenic village where we load the bikes and shuttle our way a short distance to Simonstown for a delicious lunch over looking the ocean.
Boulders Beach is next, home to a colony of endangered African penguins, so this is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to come within metres of them in a natural environment. The pristine beach surrounded by impressive granite boulders is all part of the protected Table Mountain Nature Reserve.
We then head off to the spectacular Cape Point, where you choose to enjoy further cycling or a relaxed drive through a world heritage site. The Cape Point Nature Reserve offers some of the most breathtaking mountain and ocean scenery in the world. You may be lucky enough see baboons, ostrich, antelope and even whales along the way.
