Wide open spaces, nature and the heritage of Africa, the San (First people) awaits for this special safari cycle. The beautiful setting of the West Coast is our playground for the day, opposite the West Coast National Park. Be on the lookout for a variety of wildlife such as antelope, ostrich and zebra. Our nature cycle is followed by a guided tour of the cultural centre where we meet San decedents and enjoy a guided cultural experience that will touch your heart and evoke your senses.
The Lion’s Head hike is utterly spectacular with rewarding 360 degree panoramic views as one advances to the summit. The mountain is one of the three iconic peaks that surround the city of Cape Town. From the summit you can cast your eyes over the city, Table Mountain, Robben Island, the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton and the sparkling coastline along the Atlantic Seaboard. The Lion’s Head Hike can take anywhere between 2.5-3hrs return. The summit is a magnificent spot for a picnic, triumphant photo or even a toast the full moon as it rises over the mountains to the East while watching the sun setting to the West.
We start our tour at the top of the historic Signal Hill, wind our way down into Camps Bay, past the 12 Apostles and up and over into the fishing village of Hout Bay. Here we enjoy a stroll around the harbor and market while enjoying a deserved coffee break. Next we tackle a bucket list item on our bikes – the world famous Chapmans Peak. After taking in some more draw dropping views, we load the bikes and make our way to Simonstown for a delicious lunch over looking the ocean. Boulders Beach is next, home to a colony of endangered African penguins followed by the breath-taking Cape of Good Hope and most South Western point at the tip of Africa.
