Bike and boat holidays in Holland and Belgium

General information

The ships & the team:

The motor passenger ships all comply with the strict regulations of the Dutch Shipping Inspectorate. They have a parlour, a sun/bicycle deck and 2-berth cabins. All cabins are supplied with hot and cold water and central heating. Most ships have cabins with a private shower and toilet.

The Bike & Boat Holiday is an active holiday for people who love sport and who find cosiness more important than excessive luxury. This is not a cruise-ship for passive entertainment - room service for instance is not part of the service.

On board the crew will consist of the captain and his/her mate and in the kitchen the cook will prepare the meals. A multilingual bicycle guide will accompany the group. The guide will assist you with your bike, advice you about the route and provide you with tourist information.

C. Bike & boat holiday
Holland & Belgium

Two famous cities in Holland and Belgium are the first and last stops for this Bike & Boat holiday. Amsterdam is the largest historical city in the Netherlands and Bruges is an extremely beautiful old city in Belgium.

You will notice the large difference between the green Dutch polder landscape with water aplenty and quiet roads and villages, the old island world of Zeeland with fields, creeks, winding dikes and dams, and the picturesque countryside between the Flemish cities of Ghent and Bruges. Also, the large rivers in these parts are a prominent feature along the route. You will be introduced to the Netherlands' own world wonder: the Delta Works, which bear witness to the country's age-old battle against the sea.
