3. Are the cycling tours suitable for children?

Most of the tours are suitable for kids. Tested child seats and child bikes are available in limited numbers for some of the tours. Kids of more than 6 years will enjoy the Danube Cycle tour from Passau to Vienna. For kids older than 8 years we suggest the bicycle tours around the lake Constance and the Holland by bike and boat tours.

5. Are the tours guided or unguided [individual] tours?

Most of the tours are individual [unguided] tours. However, you will receive maps, proper indications and detailed information about the itineraries. Some of the tours depart on set dates and are conducted by a tour guide. Please contact us for info in this regard.

6. What is the possibility to get lost during a hiking tour?

7. What will happen in a case of emergency during a cycling tour?

Most of the bikes are fitted with robust tubes. Punctures therefore are not common. Should it happen however, you can either fix it yourself by using the repair kit and spare tube, or you can call our local representative. The breakdown service is included in the price.

8. Is it advisable to start with the cycling or walking tour on the day of arrival in Europe?

No, we strongly advise our clients to either stay one or two nights in the city of arrival before starting with the tour. Another possibility is to stay an extra day in the starting point. It is also advisable to stay an extra night at the end of a tour before flying back. We can arrange these extra stays for you.

9. Will there be a lot of traffic on the roads?

We always take care to let you cycle or walk as far away from any car traffic as is possible. Unfortunately it is not always possible to use traffic-free roads. But in these cases it will be only for very short distances.

10. What type of bikes are used for the cycling tours?

The bike is the most important instrument to get comfortable and safely through a bike tour. We use quality bikes, 7-speed bikes with backpedals or 21-speed freewheel bikes equipped with a chain guard. To provide you with the right frame size, we inquire about your height on the booking form.

11. Do one need special insurance?

You have to take out travel insurance. The basic insurance offered on credit cards transactions is not sufficient. Proper travel insurance is also necessary in order to get a Schengen visa. We can assist you in this regard.
